Welcome to my brand new blog!
Let’s get some things out of the way shall we?
~ This blog is, more or less, for me to vent. I’m going to be writing about a random mix of stuff. I see frequent posts about peak oil and climate change (look forward to a post about why I hate calling it “global warming”) and rants about commercialization. Maybe spatterings of politics or animals. Basically, I love to write and I’ve slowly been realizing that I have a lot to say.
~ I don’t intend to do a ton of research for anything I post here. If it makes sense to me and it’s from a source I trust I probably won’t do much beyond a bit of critical thinking. You want it to be researched, backed up and proven? Do it yourself! Because, really, why would you trust my findings anyway?
~ Posts here will not be on a regular schedule. Instead, they will be on a “I feel like writing basis.” Don’t worry, it’s not nearly as bad as it sounds: I almost always feel like writing. That being said, I won’t be apologizing for “missed posts” (which is one of my pet peeves. I mean, did people actually get angry because you were ten minutes late posting today? Explanations are great; apologies bother me).
Who am I? If you’re asking that it means I don’t know you personally. Oh wow! Someone is reading my blog!
Online I go by Teartaye. I’m a twenty two year old female living with my parents while I complete an Accounting certificate. I’m having a bit of trouble deciding what I want to be when I grow up and have dabbled in business law, psychology and biology. I debated being an architect, vet, horse trainer, farmer, forensic scientist, legal researcher, lawyer, and many, many other things. I have ADHD (the doctors argue over whether I’m an inattentive subtype or combined), so expect this blog to reflect that (hopefully not in the quality of writing).
I have dreadlocks. My favourite band is Hanson. Yes, that Hanson. I think watching The Wizard of Oz synced to Dark Side of the Moon is the coolest thing ever. I don’t watch much television, or listen to the radio very often. I currently have a 4.0 GPA. I hate partying. I devour thick books, but I couldn’t finish Lord of the Rings. I love animals. I’m a flexitarian, though I hope to be a vegan once I move out. I love to game, but I haven’t had any luck finding a group. I love the muffled quietness of a soft snowfall. The best part of the day is while the sun is rising.
None of this gives you a good idea of who I really am. I don’t really think that it’s possible to get to know someone through a cold, flickering screen. That’s okay. At least you have a bit of a picture to stereotype me around. Have fun!
